Stephanie was greeted with a “warm Mexican welcome” which refers to her returning to the hotel room and finding a bath tub filled with rose petals and warm water.
One way that the friendly and attentive staff at Fairmont Mayakoba could make you feel welcome is by offering top notch concierge as they did to Stephanie when her camera card broke and offered her a temporary one until they got it replaced for her.

Answer to question #5 – they put roses on your bed and in the bath for a welcome! I’d certainly love that but just having my sheets turned back, a glass of bubbly and hearing the ocean is welcome enough for me! Looks AMAZING!

Stephanie was warmly welcomed by rose petals on her bed and in her bath. (Sounds delightful).
A concierge staff that can find restaurants/dining options for someone with Celiac disease is always a major plus, and a wonderful reason to return!

Rose petals in a bath and our her bed! Sounds like heaven! What a beautiful and thoughtful detail to a vacation. It’s that kind of genuine care that makes a place special and memorable. A place you would want to return time after time!

Everyone loves a warm greeting when they walk in the door: a hug from a significant other, tail wags from a loyal pooch, pattering feet from a little one happy to see you! At Fairmont Mayakoba, the room beckoned with rose petals strewn on the sheets and gracing the drawn bath. Service did not stop there as exemplified by staff willingness to lend a hand during Stephanie’s camera crisis, including securing a replacement camera card, providing a loaner in the interim, and even offering advice about optimal resolution settings. They are keen to the notion that travel photos are too precious to miss…..and an integral part of the SJ style compass!

Stephanie Johnson and her daughter were warmly greeted by the Fairmont Mayakoba when they arrived with rose petals on their beds and floating in a warm bath drawn in the sunken tub of the large bathroom. Much to their delight.
But their “warm Mexican welcome” was just one way the Fairmont Mayakoba’s friendly staff makes guests feel welcome. The resort also offers a concierge service that will assist guests with making dining reservations or directions to major attractions and events.
Their top notch concierge also came to Stephanie’s aid when she found her camera had broken, and provided her a camera card to use during her stay so she could chronicle the trip for her SJ’s Style Compass blog, and even had a member of their staff go into town to purchase her a new one. The helpful staff at their business center also noted that Stephanie was using too high of a resolution on her camera and only getting 30 images per card, when she could have been getting 1,000. That is service!

Stephanie Johnson was referring to the Fairmont Mayakoba’s friendly and attentive staff’s welcoming tradition of placing rose petals on the hotel guest’s bed, and in the hotel guest’s bathtub (also filled with warm water).

Stephanie was referring to the warm bath filled with rose petals she returned to her first night at the hotel. Erela loved it so much she played with the rose petals the next morning! Definitely “a warm Mexican” welcome!
For me, being greeted by attentive/knowledgeable staff makes me feel most welcome while on vacation. Also little details like a welcome note or chocolates in the room make me feel more at home. Per Stephanie’s blog, the staff at Fairmont Mayakoba went above and beyond with their customer service. When Stephanie needed a new camera card, they supplied her with one until someone purchased a new one in town for her. She also learned from the business center that she could lower her resolution to get more images on her camera. Guest service like this is rare and one of the primary reasons the Fairmont Mayakoba is a very desirable vacation spot!

The warm Mexican welcome: Our first night we returned to the room to find rose petals on our beds and floating in a warm bath. My daughter was smitten and wanted to bathe with the flowers again in the morning.
If I am lucky enough to win the vacation to this resort, the staff won’t have to do anything to make me feel welcome, but anything that helps my 19-month-old son sleep, eat and play well while on vacation would be a wonderful treat — baby-friendly sunscreen, a pack and play or crib, and lots of fresh avocado and other fruit to eat would be heavenly for him.

The final post about a gorgeous location, but luckily i have found a wonderful new travel blog to read.
As for the warm Mexican welcome that you received. They left you beautiful rose petals on your bed and floating in a freshly drawn bath. I can only hope Erela does not request petals in her bath at home. One could certainly get used to that.

Love these questions!! The “warm Mexican welcome” was leaving rose petals on the bed and in the newly drawn bath. I wish my husband was creative enough to do that! Cheers to traveling and to a beautiful new collection!

forgot to include how the staff can make me feel welcome…. i would love the same thing with some alcoholic beverages ready for me to drink as i lay on the bed of petals.

They left rose petals sprinkled on the bed and in a warm bath – that IS a warm Mexican welcome, and sounds absolutely divine!
If I won this vacation, all the staff would have to do to keep my sister-in-law and I happy would be to keep bringing us mai tais and margaritas as we lay on beach or by the pool. We would also LOVE a private cooking class!

The staff at Fairmont Mayakoba sprinkled rose petals sprinkled on the bed and in the freshly drawn bath.
If I won this vacation, Fairmont Mayakoba’s friendly and attentive staff would make me feel just as welcome simply by sharing their ‘warm Mexican’ smiles
A fresh ‘welcome’ margarita might do the trick too!

The awesome staff at the Fairmont Mayakoba left rose petals on the bed and in the bath for Stephanie, and went above and beyond to help with her little camera crisis. Sounds amazing! Would love to experience it first hand! : )

Rose petals on their beds and floating in a warm bath in the sunken tub, what a warm welcome indeed, sounds heavenly! Another way the Fairmont Mayakoba’s staff can welcome me would be to continue offering friendly service and personalized attention such as what Stephanie described when they arranged to get new memory card and helped her with resolution issues. It’s service like this that goes above and beyond that would make me feel welcome.

Stephanie’s warm Mexican welcome was finding rose petals on her bed and floating in her bath-absolute heaven! However, I don’t believe the “warm Mexican welcome” ever ended. The staff and concierge at the Fairmont Mayakoba go above and beyond to ensure very guest is happy and it sounds like no request is too big or too small. Stephanie’s camera issue was solved and a new memory card was given to her even when a trip into town was needed. At the Fairmont Mayakoba they make you feel like una reina!

Stephanie’s warm, welcome greeting were the beautiful rose petals on her bed and in her bath; what a great surprise! Attention to detail and the friendly staff are just two ways that I would feel welcome if I had the pleasure to visit this amazing destination spot. Helping guests with the little things, such as finding a new camera card, or giving tips for “hush hush” local spots are also ways to make anyone feel welcome!

Stephanie’s “warm Mexican welcome” started when she found rose petals on her bed and floating in a warm drawn bath.
…I’m sure the attentive and friendly staff at Fairmont Mayakoba would make me or anyone feel just as welcome. Simply put a Skinny Margarita in my hand and I’d be a happy traveler

Stephanie’s means by a warm Mexican welcome is by when they returned to their room they found them with rose petals on their beds and floating in a warm bath. Also, Stephanie find Fairmont Mayakoba’s friendly and attentive staff could make you feel just as welcome due to the fact that she broke her camera and the hotel gave her a camera card and also purchase a new one for her. Also, the room come with coffee and tea. Also, whatever she need the hotel will help and offer.
